For Tasty Treats, Add one Teaspoon of "Seoul"t

And yes, the title is a pun on the word 'salt'. As a friend of mine once stated about puns, "If you cringe hard enough, it's almost like you're smiling".

Seoul is a Ruff place
Seoul has the cures to hangovers
Interestingly, though, is the discovery that kimchi, Korea's staple side dish of fermented cabbage, has high levels of sodium. So much is that so that universities are studying the health detriments behind the stuff. Damn, and here I thought kimchi was the savior of human health. I won't be eating any less of it, considering it's that good.

Kite Flying at the Han River

Continuing with the idea of Seoul as a pun is that no matter the season, Korea's capital is full of flavor. Don't let the sky-high rent or blood-pressure raising living costs fool you, this metropolis has everything. Well nearly everything, I'm pretty sure the pick-pocketing rate is somewhere between 0 and -10%. Case in point, I've left my phone in more restaurants and train carriages than I care to admit, only to have a stranger chase after me with said phone in their hands raised high to remind me of my forgetfulness.

Language exchange at Jamwon Park
Anyway, if you're not in on a music festival or walking around a museum or being shouted at by a Seoul bus-driver or doing a language exchange or visiting an animal/game themed cafe or hiking among a myriad of over-prepared ajumma/ajoshi or going bowling or doing a pub-crawl or eating chi-maek or clubbing your tits off to crazy hip/dance/techno music or bowling (again) or noraebang-ing or listening to live music or drinking in public or chilling next to the Han River or hiking to Namsan Tower or literally a million other things, then do you even Seoul?

"Look Simba. Everything the light touches has 'Good Times' written on it."
"What about that shadowy place?"
"That place is more fun than you could ever imagine."
Anyway, reflection is a necessity. I'm three months into my second year in Korea. Some of the best times I've spent have been the ones in Seoul. So hereafter find a glimpse into the kinds of things you can do in and around Seoul.

Seoul has plenty to offer. You just have to get out there, find something to do and make it worth your while. In conclusion, savor the little moments no matter the season.
